Elopements. I’ve said it before, and I’lll say it again, elopements are the only way to go. Queue: Nikki and Martin. A fun-loving, laid-back couple who reached out to me a few short months before their Toronto City Hall nuptials to capture (and witness!) their elopement.
Due to gathering restrictions at the time, the chambers limited guests in attendance to 4 in total, including the couple, but I’d be lying if I told you I didn’t love the opportunity to sign for these incredible folks!
Nikki carried stunning florals from Hunt & Gather, and rocked a leather bomber and white, snakeskin booties with her slip dress; one of my all-time favourite wedding looks!
Following the ceremony, the three of us wandered from City Hall over to the Irish Embassy (in honour of Martin’s Irish heritage) only to find it permanently closed (womp, womp). Back up plan: The Flatiron Firkin on front which proved to be more than sufficient for providing us with ample pints of Guinness and a few shots of Jameson pre-dinner.
Nikki and Martin chose a private dining room at Maison Selby to enjoy dinner with family and friends after the day’s events.
