North Vancouver Forest Wedding | Mal & Warren

There is truly nothing more ethereal than a forest wedding. Mal & Warren were married on a North Vancouver property overlooking a lush, British Columbia forest on a cool afternoon in September. The nuptials followed a challenging climb up Grouse Mountain the day before, and a half-marathon run by the bride! This outdoor-loving couple couldn’t wait to tie the knot in the birthplace of the groom, so it seemed only fitting that they marry with the forest at their feet.

Shortly after the ceremony, the three of us wandered deep into the forest to capture more photos and I swooned over the ‘Fern Gully’-esque surroundings. Thinking of a forest wedding? Don’t think, just do!

In honour of the groom’s cultural heritage, a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony followed the ceremony at the legendary, Pink Pearl. The Vancouver landmark made for a unique and meaningful reception, not to mention a multi-course Chinese banquet!
