This is a city full of breathtaking venues and scenery, making it an ideal location for a modern Toronto wedding. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Lindsay and Andrew’s wedding at The Walrus Pub and Beer Hall in Toronto, which was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
The venue was fun and quirky, with colourful candles lining the aisle, and a geometric to the ceremony. Lindsay was a vision in her Alena Leena gown and carried florals by May Flowers. Andrew, always dapper, wore a floral shirt and signature bolo to round out his red suit.
Before the ceremony, we wandered around the financial district for the couple’s photo session. We found some of Toronto’s hidden gems tucked into lobbies and back alleys.
The reception was held at The Walrus Pub and Beer Hall, and the decor was both fun and relaxed, reflecting the couple’s laid-back style for a modern Toronto wedding. Lindsay and Andrew always offered guests some of their favourite classic cocktails, and served a divine creation by Cry Baby Cakes for dessert.
One of the most memorable parts of the wedding was the speeches. Their closets friends and family gave heartfelt toasts that left everyone in tears, and the couple’s parents also shared touching words of love and encouragement and most importantly, laughs.
As a photographer, I was honoured to be a part of Lindsay and Andrew’s special day and to capture the precious memories that they will cherish for a lifetime. From the intimate moments of the ceremony to the excitement of the reception, every moment was filled with beauty and joy, making it a perfect example of a modern Toronto wedding.
If you’re planning a modern Toronto wedding, I highly recommend exploring the city on foot. You’ll be surprised by how many fantastic backdrops you can stumble upon in a few short blocks!
