Ashely and Alex requested that we capture their engagement photos in Liberty Village; the same location as Alex’s surprise proposal! We were fortunate enough to catch the waning sun of an unseasonably warm November afternoon and made great use of the industrial buildings at our disposal.
One thing I really love about shooting in Liberty Village is the endless photo opportunities, particularly for couples looking to capture engagement shots. The Liberty Market building makes for some really beautiful narrow shots, with the architectural elements and graffiti offering dynamic backdrops. Additionally, the old Toronto Prison Chapel (now more commonly called, ‘the building next to the dog park’) offers a brick-filled locale for long angles.
