Though James and Rebecca had to postpone their original wedding plan, they didn’t let Covid stop them from planning a small, backyard wedding close to home. The pair opted to host a small, intimate ceremony in the backyard of James’ grandmother’s home in Greektown, Toronto.
The couple to did a ‘first look’ in the backyard of his parent’s home (and the home James grew up in!) and the reactions were exactly as I’d hoped. Rebecca wore a stunning, fitted gown from Paloma Blanca and carried florals from a neighbourhood florist. Better yet, his parent’s home was situated directly across street from his grandmother’s which made for a sentimental wedding locale, not to mention a short jaunt from getting ready to the ceremony.
After their first look, James, Rebecca and I took a stroll around the neighbourhood to take in more of the Danforth and capture that quintessential, “Welcome to Greektown” backdrop. To kick it all off, guests were served greek dishes from a local restaurant in a beautifully decorated sit-down dinner hosted by the grooms parents.
