A Romantic Summer Wedding | Kris & Barbara

Kris and Barbara’s summer wedding plans were uprooted due to Covid restrictions, but it didn’t stop them from celebrating in the most meaningful way.

The couple had initially planned for a wedding in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake with approximately 150 guests. But when they were forced to reconsider their approach, Barbara’s father’s restaurant offered them the intimate backdrop they needed. Besides being family-owned and operated, Barbara and her siblings grew up in and around the restaurant, and therefore sentiment for the location was very much present throughout the day.

Shortly after the ceremony, Kris, Barbara and I departed for the University of Toronto Mississauga campus to take couples’ photos. Now, I stress the importance of taking this time together, post-ceremony to every single one of my clients. It’s important. In fact, it’s incredibly important. You need this time to come down off of the high of the ceremony, take a breather, get some space (and perspective) and enjoy those first few moments with your person without onlookers.

Videography was provided by the incredibly talented folks at Encore Film Productions.
