A Beautiful Micro Wedding | Katie & Brianna

I came to know Katie and Brianna by the generosity of their closest friends who hired me to shoot their micro wedding. The friends, who lived in Australia, weren’t able to attend the wedding due to travel restrictions. In lieu of being able to attend the wedding person, they offered to purchase the couple the gift of a photographer so that their nuptials could be captured (ps. I LOVE being gifted!)

I met Katie and Brianna via FaceTime a month ahead of their event date and I walked away from the call on cloud-nine. The affection, love and genuine laughter that they shared during that one brief phone call was enough for me. I walked away completely overjoyed at the thought of joining them for their backyard micro wedding.

On the afternoon of their nuptials, I met the couple at Oakville’s, Gairloch Gardens to take photos among the flower gardens and along the waterfront. My favourite captures from this time together are those around the giant willow tree, after Brianna and Katie gratefully removed their shoes and walked barefoot through the grass.
